Dad's Birthday Gift

So, now that my Dad's birthday is over, I can share the progression of my gift I made for him. I made him the Knotty But Nice hat pattern by Natalie Larson in some Berrocco Ultra Alpaca tonal in a lovely brown. I think it would have been better in a solid to show the cables better; but, being my first bigger cable project, I didn't think about that. The biggest problem with my gift is that winter is almost over!

And here's one from the gift destination--he refused to take a picture with it on.  Does this mean it really doesn't fit?

Edit: I just found proof that it fits.  He looks too cool.
